The saying “Time is money” is absolutely true in the present day world. Every organization is making attempts to change its perspective with regards to time management. Now how does one make efforts to effect those changes. Alterations made to time management system can be a challenging task, which may also give rise to many queries. Time management system encompassed the entire work force of a company. Every organization ha efficient tools for accounts and bookkeeping. But with the latest developments in the computer field, companies can be better equipped with the latest soft wares. Some of these softwares can be categorized into Time Management, Project Management, and Business Management etc.

Every organization aims at progress and better results. Let me give you a simple example of two grocery shops (maintained in the year 1960).

Shop A: The owner of shop a collects all the receipts and payment vouchers, receipts related to returned goods from the customer, the calculated man-hours of his employees into one briefcase and gets it home only on weekends. He does the tallying of his receipts and payments only on the last day of the week. In the process, Shop A started losing his customers, his business was affected and he made tremendous losses. The owner of Shop A was not equipped with a time tracking system or a project management system.

Shop B: The owner of shop B tallies the receipts and payments on the same date,. He does not carry forward any of the work to be completed on weekends. He enters all the receipts and payments then and there on the particular day and ensures that the accounts are maintained at the end of the day.

Now what exactly is happening? Shop B definitely ha a better system of managing the shop. This is exactly termed as project management in business terminology. In the long run, the owner of Shop B ran a very big grocery chain in a few years because of his foresightedness and project management capabilities. Shop B was well equipped with time tracking system along with a superb project management system. The owner of shop B had all the details related to resale goods. He used to send back the good to the manufacturer, get replacement and give it to the customer. The customers were happy and trusted him. His sales boosted, thereby increasing profitability.

What do we understand from the above 2 examples. It is simple. The answer is if you are able to keep a track on your numbers, then you have won the game. Progress in today’s competitive world implies keeping a track on time. This could be done by going in for an effective time tracking software, which would make things easier and faster.

Respecting time implies respecting money and valuing customers. Installation of time tracking software along with the business management software would yield the desired results. There are many reports which could be generated when you have this software installed. Say for e.g. customer reports, billable supports, overtime statements, flexi time statements, man hours calculated etc.
